FAQs
How did you get where you are today?
A mix of curiosity, hard work, and good timing. I've worked in social media, community, and product marketing, but I was always chasing the creative parts of my job. Startups gave me room to try new things and build a ton of different skills. Eventually, I made the jump to start my own freelance business. Now I get to do what I love most: helping brands tell their stories through strategy and design.
What project made you realize “yep, this is what I’m meant to do”?
Topstep’s rebrand and unification. Leading the social strategy and launch announcement allowed me to flex my strategic and creative muscles all at once. It was meaningful work that directly impacted our community, and it earned me more chances to lead creatively.
What’s a random fact about you?
I’ve officiated two weddings! Never thought I’d add that to my résumé, but they’ve been some of the greatest honors of my life.
What’s your go-to comfort meal?
A hot dog. The best Chicago dog is the one closest to me.
Where do you get your design or creative inspiration?
From real life—menus, wallpaper, outfits other brands' marketing. I love learning from other people's art and I’m constantly collecting visual ideas from the world around me. Brands I think that are killing it: tblscape, Gap, Portillo's, fishwife, Ghia.
If you could design branding for any business, what would it be?
A brand for the modern woman. For girls who love sports, food, fashion, going out but getting home early, speaking their minds, and caring deeply about the world around them. I’d love to create content that tells the stories of incredible women by using design to celebrate their voices, their humor, and their hustle.
What's a design style you'll never get tired of?
Maximalism. I believe in a clean visual hierarchy, but I love when there’s a lot to take in. It’s like I Spy. Your eye bounces around and finds something new every time. I think it's bold, doesn't always follow the rules, and can be very chic when done right.
How would you describe yourself visually?
